Marriages are made in heaven but they are celebrated on earth! Marriage is not just the union of two individuals; it is the amalgamation of two cultures, families and varying traditions.
Ruchir and Priyanka recently tied the knot. These love birds met almost a decade ago (2004) in high school. They started dating each other a year later in their first year of college. Although Priyanka and Ruchir were in different colleges, but they never allowed distance to create distances in their relationship. In 2008 after mutual decision both of them took some time off from each other and got back together in 2010. The two years gave them a breather and also helped them start the relationship with a new zeal and enthusiasm. A love story with the highs and lows of a rollercoaster ride and endless priceless memories, these are just some of the things that got them closer.
They got engaged in July 2013 and that’s when they decided to get married and be life partners till death does them apart!
“I had to complete my professional studies which needed time and attention. I think balancing it with the relationship was one of the main hurdles that we faced and I am happy to say that we successfully crossed” said Ruchir.
A pre-wedding shoot is a great idea to capture a perfect mix of candid and fun shots that showcases the chemistry of the couple. Both Priyanka and Ruchir were very excited for their pre-wedding shoot. It was shot at ‘The Perfect Location’, Faridabad. Casual outfits complimenting the rustic setting and backdrop made a picture perfect combination.
The wedding festivities began with full fun and fervor and rest as they say is history. There was singing, dancing, romance and a mix of emotions at all the functions.
For the engagement Ruchir looked dapper in a deep blue tuxedo. And the bride looked like a million bucks in golden attire. The traditional kundan and pearl choker with matching danglers added to Priyanka’s ethereal beauty
Mehendi rituals are an integral part of a wedding, especially a Punjabi wedding. Usually the function takes place separately at the bride and the groom’s side. But Priyanka and Ruchir decided to give it a little twist. Their mehendi function was held together – so double the fun and double the excitement. Bride and groom wore same colored outfits and looked very much in love. Peach with undertones of carrot was their color. Priyanka dazzled in a peach and bottle green lehnga and Ruchir wore a peach bandhgala.
And what’s a bride without mehendi. A very detailed and pretty bridal mehendi design was selected by Priyanka for her hands and arms. For her feet she decided to keep it mellow. The mehndi venue was done up to match the color theme. A lot of vibrant colors and flowers, the beautiful marigolds were used to deck up the place.
It is almost every girl’s dream to look the prettiest bride. Priyanka looked drop dead gorgeous in a traditional deep red lehnga. The intricate detailing and brocade gold work gave the lehnga a royal look. The groom adorned a golden sherwani, royalty at its best. The peach colored turban with pearl detailing was the highlight of Ruchir’s wedding day look.
Amidst blessings from friends and family, traditional rituals and of course lots of selfies the functions concluded and the wedding was declared super hit! We wish Ruchir and Priyanka all the luck and happiness for their new phase of life.
